Jade whelk lives in the soft sediment continental shelf of the North Atlantic, and is fished in pure and pollution-free waters. It is named by the shell’s unique color, usually changing from white-gray to green-yellow during its life span.
Jade whelk has tender and tasteful meat, with rich nutrition of protein, vitamins, amino acid and rare elements. It is typically the natural and healthy seafood of low-fat and high calcium. After blanching, the whelk looks like jade. It boasts as the pearl on the plate at the dinner table.
